Grekso, 65 has been at home in some of the fanciest corporate
boardrooms and down-home local barrooms in the country. In a past life, he was an independent management consultant, taught political science and economics, served as a university vice president for marketing and development and was president of a foundation to raise corporate funds for independent colleges and universities in New York State. Following his formal retirement in 1994, Grekso bartended on the infamous “Block” in Baltimore and on Duval Street in Key West. He has been writing political commentary for several southwest Florida newspapers since 1998.
