MESSAGE FORMATTING TIPS
Following are some sample HTML codes you can use to create special effects
in your product description text.
- To cause text to be bolded, surround the text with these two
codes:
< B> before the text and < /B> after the text. For example
typing the following line in your message:
< B> This is a test. < /B>
Will cause the line to appear like so:
This is a test.
- To cause text to be underlined, surround the text with these two
codes: < U> before the text and < /U> after the text. For example
typing the following line in your message:
< U> This is a test. < /U>
Will cause the line to appear like so:
This is a test.
- To cause text to be italicized, surround the text with these two
codes:
< I> before the text and < /I> after the text. For example
typing the following line in your message:
< I> This is a test. < /I>
Will cause the line to appear like so:
This is a test.
- To cause a line break to be inserted in your text (this breaks the
text line to the next line on the page), insert the following code where
the line break is to occur:
< BR>. For example
typing the following line in your message:
This is a test < BR> to see where
the line breaks.
Will cause the line to appear like so:
This is a test
to see where the line breaks.
- To cause text to be colored, surround the text with these two
codes:
< Font color=red> before the text and < /Font> after
the text. For example
typing the following line in your message:
< Font color=red> This is a test.
< /Font>
Will cause the line to appear like so:
This is a test.
- An example of setting a line up to be bolded, underlined, italized, colored, and have a break in the middle of the line, you would type:
< B>
< U>
< I>
< Font color=red>
This is a test.
< BR>
to see where the line breaks.
< /Font>
< /I>
< /U>
< /B>
Will cause the line to appear like so:
This is a test
to see where the line breaks.
- To cause text to be set up as a list of items, surround the text with these two
codes:
< UL> before the text and < /UL> after the text. For example
typing the following lines in your message:
< UL> This is item one.< BR>
This is item two.< /UL>
Will cause them to appear like so in your message on the bulletin board:
This is a item one.
This is item two.
