Allie + TJ/ENGAGEMENTS/BEVERLY BENNETT PHOTOGRAPHY

It was lots of fun meeting up with Allie & TJ to capture engagement photos for their upcoming October wedding at Holy Name of Jesus followed by a reception at the Crowne Plaza Oceanfront. Their wedding is going to have some fun surprises and unique touches so I am thrilled to be photographing their special day. Their engagement session almost didn't happen.....rain clouds looming and since Allie & TJ live out of town, our timeline was limited.......not much room to maneuver. After some hesitation, we decided to go for it and, thankfully, it worked out perfectly. Allie's parents brought the newest family member at the end of the session and we just had to include Brodie in a few photos.... he's adorable!
Allie & TJ, I adore you three (yes, you too, Brodie)! Can't wait for October wedding.......and to meet your wonderful families!
Allie & TJ can pull off serious & romantic, followed by.........

Stephanie + Brian/Part 2: Post Wedding Photos
Click here to view ONLY this message
Post wedding photo sessions definitely aren't the norm.......but, really, they should be! When I ask brides if they would like to add this feature to their wedding package, the first question is "Why in the world would I want to do that?" But then, when I patiently explain "why" they should, then.........they get it! It's worth the time and effort, for sure. The wedding day is wonderful, full of excitement, anticipation, oh......and just one more thing....timelines (not the Facebook kind). Once the wedding day gets underway, the agenda is set in stone and there's only so much time for bridal photos. So a few of my brides are discovering that it's actually a fun adventure to put the dress back on, head on out to the beach or nature area for some relaxing and carefree bridal portraits within a day to a few weeks of the wedding. A little salt, a little water and sand on the hem........no problem. It'll clean up beautifully and it's headed to the cleaners anyway. No stress and total fun and relaxation. I guess you could think of it like a "trash the dress session" without the trash part. Honestly, I just can't see the point because my brides spend a $$$$ on those dresses. I want portraits..........beautiful portraits for my brides. So enjoy a few of Stephanie's post wedding photo session. I won't lie. It was hot. A few bugs and lots and lots of fun. What a great memory for your wedding album.
Post wedding photo expressions are always so relaxed and happy. Isn't Stephanie gorgeous?
Playing catch up on the blog. Next up another engagement session and some gorgeous modeling portfolio shots. Stick around for all of that fun!

STEPHANIE + BRIAN/HILTON RIALTO WEDDING
Click here to view ONLY this message
I have been looking forward to Stephanie & Brian's wedding since I first met her at the Hilton Rialto in Melbourne to book her wedding photography. I love not just how beautiful she is but also her vibrance and strong personality. She knew early on exactly what she wanted her wedding to be like and her colors were fantastic. Red was also a theme with their engagement photos. Luvs me a theme! Adds that special touch! The Rialto was a great location choice. The ballroom is huge, the hotel itself is a refreshing change from beachside and the bridal sweet is, well really sweet: spacious and great light! (A photography thing!) So, if you're on the fence re-your wedding venue, check out the Rialto. I found some great little niches for photos and, oh, did I mention they have not just 1 but 2 fabulous grand pianos?!.......one black, one white, and I knew right away I'd be getting a picture of my bride on that baby! Yes, I wouldn't disappoint you: see below. So enough with the description, just enjoy the sneak peek and the beautiful wedding party. Like Stephanie & Brian, the entire wedding party was a blast: full of antics and just plain totally unruly! Loved them all!! I don't think there's a shy one among the bunch!!!

Colin is 2} Toddler Photography/Melbourne Beach, Fl

Colin is 2! Yes, & that's a great age to have fun but photographing a 2 year old can be a little challenging...just keeping up with them is challenging! Getting a portrait-memory can be even more difficult but I find the best photos just come from letting them have free reign, chasing them around & letting things unfold in a natural, happy, smiley face kind of way. After all, that's the point of natural settings vs. the studio portrait, which is stiff, predictable & miserable....for children/DADS especially. I'll bet most of us can remember Mom dragging us out on a Saturday morning to a studio for that family photo in which everyone was grumbling........then, sit......fake smile.....resume grumbling....
Stephanie, Colin's Mom, is super athletic and strong, which is a good thing because, to my surprise, she could lift him up and swing him around even though he is solid weight! Gave him the best smiles ever. What kid doesn't like to fly with Mom?! I think we made out pretty good in spite of the heat, bugs, chasing, calling ("this way, Colin", "Is that a butterfly over here?") and more! Enjoy your little guy.......at the rate he's growing, I'll be scheduling his senior photo session next week!
Next is my favv.......
