Shari & Michael
December 31,2013
Melbourne Civic Center: Front Street
This year ended with a super special wedding. I have known Shari since forever & when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was beyond honored and wanted more than anything for her to feel like a princess on her wedding day. She more than deserved it. Some people have to wait a long time to meet that one special person that completes their life. For Shari, that is Michael & their paths finally crossed, bringing them together & now they both are complete. Because they have each other. Two wonderful people.
This was my first time photographing at this venue. They were married at dusk under a gorgeous blue sky with the downtown Melbourne buildings as a backdrop. Shari wanted to keep her ceremony simple, with the focus being exchanging their vows. They were surrounded by close friends & family, and lots of (happy) emotions. It was beautiful. Shari knew it would be dark following the ceremony, so she suggested a "first look" for the couple in advance. It was a wonderful, private, forever memorable moment.
Shari has a close bond to her cousin and when he presented her to Michael, not only was Shari overcome with emotions, so was everyone else!
And, not only did Shari feel like a princess, I believe this little one did too!
Shari & Michael, I wish you many, many years of happy memories. I hope you look back on your photos in the distant future and remember what a beautiful moment in time it was on December 31, 2013! Love & happiness to you both!
