Jess is almost 16! She has the most fantastic Mom that is putting together a super special Sweet 16 party for her in a few months. Those photos are going to be fun. Isn't it great that turning 16 is seen as a really special time in one's life? I don't remember a big party, but I do remember turning 16 and I loved how grown up it made me feel..........getting a driver's license, soon off to college. Just a tremendous feeling of independence. Jess, her Mom & I met up to take a few special pictures for display at the event. With all the rain, we had a number of stressful phone calls that day as to whether or not to do the photoshoot. I sat in my car waiting for them to arrive with sunshine, blue skies to my left and doomsday clouds to my right. Then the rain arrived but thankfully the skies cleared (somewhat) and allowed us to have a fantastic but HUMID photo session. That's how Florida rolls in the summertime so we just went with it.

This event is even more special because Jess is new to the area and is from New York (hence the "I love New York" shirt below). I"m with you Jess, because I LOVE NY too! With Jess's personality, she is going to have a zillion friends at school from day 1. She is so outgoing, creative AND she loves photography!
