Patti & John were married over the holiday weekend at
The Community Chapel of Melbourne Beach. I've said many times on this blog that I love, love, love that Church and I do, love that Church! It is small (really small) and intimate. You can't have a large wedding there, and that's what makes it perfect. So quiet, so simple and as the couple walks down the aisle after the ceremony, they get to ring the bell and the beautiful music let's everyone in town know there's just been a wedding. Couples love that & based on their exuberance about it, that might be ones of the reasons they book their wedding there. Sweet memory for the future!
My 1st meeting face to face with Patti was when she arrived at the Chuch but she is such a warm & easy going person, we quickly overcame that obstacle. She had booked me from Sarasota where she & John are busy professionals. They wanted to get married in Melbourne Beach as they recently bought a vacation home in the historic area in town & they held their reception there as well. The view is amazing and their friends & family fell in love with the area.
Patti informed me right away that John was not all that into photography and, in fact, didn't really like to have his picture taken! I told her "no worries" and by the end of the evening, John was approaching ME to take photos with this friend or that family member. And that's how I roll, I just let my personality win him over. Or again, maybe he thought "Hey, I'm paying this girl to be here so she needs to earn her way." Or maybe he felt a bit remorseful about that glancing glare he 1st gave me pre- wedding!! Either way, we got some fun photos and captured a happy time for them. Loved them both!
