Aaron, are you aware the waiver for the elderly, the PAC waiver, the Brain
and spinal waiver and the Cystic fibrosis waiver's all went under ACHA and
the Long term care programs (MMA's) under the plans in the state that offer
LTC. This happened as of 1/1/18. Many many folks have had their services
reduced, the new case managers (coordinators) only have to see most 1X
every 3 months and have HUGE case loads. They don't understand the
populations they are working with, for instance, a quadriplegic was told he
no longer needed a bowl program and they wont pay for the correct
suppositories they need to assist in this process, another had his hours
cut by 16 hours per week, another was told he was brand new when he was a
transition consumer.....All the community support coordinators as well as
those who worked for the DOH to assist with these programs lost their jobs.
Given that they moved all these folks in one day, I am not sure what the
fate of APD will be given the people at the top running that organization.

I was told most experienced APD staff that Knew what they were doing have
retired and now you have all new people that have no idea what the process
is and so they tend to dump everything on the WSC's to even get the
consumer medicaid something WSC never did before.
    They used to have field
training but did away with that to provide online manuals that do not cover
all the other issues that happen that are not accounted for in the manual.
