Looking for stories or information as to what when wrong when G 2/26 assaulted Hill 700 on or about April 6, 1968. I was a 81mm Squad Leader on Hill 558 on that particular day. I don't recall any prep fire by the 81's platoon or any other prep fire before the assault. It would appear that someone should have been held accountable. Does anyone know why no prep fire?
