Sometimes curve balls get in the way of our plans. We're moving along just fine at a comfortable pace and smack, there it is.........just didn't see it coming. Like, for me, early on in college, I was psyched about proclaiming English Lit at my major. I know, heaven forbid! I probably would have destroyed the field. Luckily, one of my professors rescued my by boldly asking me if I had considered another major, and that, probably, I should. Curve ball............and that one hit hard. Looking back I chose that major because my high school literature teacher was my idol. Not a great basis for a lifelong career. Today, I can't remember that professor's name, but, from time to time, I thank him. It wouldn't have worked for me.
And so it is that Alison + Eric recently had a curve ball thrown at them. In the middle of planning a wedding, circumstances required them to change course and they decided to elope and celebrate their special day privately. What I love, love, love about the two of them is that they still wanted some super special photos to celebrate their marriage and preserve their memories. So we met up early one very hot summer day and struck out for some adventure. No matter how early you start out on a July morning you are going to sweat. Well, I was sweating but Alison was glowing with happiness. Since they were leaving out that same day in the afternoon for a honeymoon, we decided to just go for it. We laughed and smiled all the way from start to finish. They are two of the most positive minded people I've ever met. They inspire me.
Enjoy a few of their photos from the day.
Alison couldn't wait to take a photo at the railroad tracks. What is it about railroad tracks that make us feel so free spirited? Or at least that's how I feel when I go there for photos. Guess it's that longing for travel and adventure thing.
"I hear that train a' coming.................". Ok, on a serious note, these tracks can be dangerous and I always discuss that before going near the tracks........and our stay there is very brief. That's all it takes for some fun shots. So, people, be careful out there!
Alison, you are so beautiful. Enough said.
I love how sweet Eric is with Alison. What a great guy.
Eric & Alison, I hope you have a life filled with paradise moments. Can't think of any two people more deserving. Have a wonderful marriage.
