Freestyling at the beach! Ok, I had to throw that in because I've been watching too many surfers at the beach today. Hurricane Irene passed by us just close enough to create a state of euphoria for all of the local surfers & paddleboarders. Check out some awesome surfing photos from Cocoa Beach Photography here. And before I move on, I know I promised this post before the end of the work week,  which is today, but I forgot to mention that my end of the work week on Fridays sometimes is around midnight. I'm right on schedule. (If you're a wedding and/or portrait photographer, you feel me, right? We've been known to pull all-nighters, seriously!)

 

Freestyling is a term that I do like to use with my couples sometimes, especially since so many love the beach.  This question comes up a lot. "How do we pose? We're not models." And my reply is often "Freestyle it." Before all you photographer types go and get all indigent on me, the point is, I want my couples to bring out their style, their personality, their beauty. Enough said. See below.

 

 

What I've come to love most about Jordan & Michael is their youthful exhuberance. They are not jaded about the world. I'm feeling all fancy with the words tonight and even though I don't want to be jaded, I do like to say the word. Jaded. What you see in the photos of Jordan & Michael is the real deal. Their personality, which I love a lot. While we work at posing shots a little, we work a lot at creating shots that are real. For their special memories. To me, that's photography. Keeping it real.

 

 

Jordan & Michael, you guys are awesome.
