New Website info

I am using a larger font
so you hopefully don't have to reach for your glasses. The
website khesanh.com is going to cease to exist soon. It has been paid
( by me) through today -- April 17th -- as that is when the next bill is
due. It's not going to be paid by me and Network Solutions knows this.
It may take a day or two for this all to disappear.
There is a new
webpage ( under construction ) coming very soon. The new address
is:
khesanh.vet khesanh.vet.
khesanh.vet
If you are reading this and hope to stay informed
please type in the new name into Google or another search engine. You
will see a Under Construction Message. Keep trying once a day. Soon, it
will show up. It's gonna look like this. It will have a Message Board;
Guest Page; Reunion Info; all the digitalized Red Clays, and much more. Please bear with us. S/F

WOW!!!! Rev Ray looks great! Seeing him brings back my memory of our first
meeting which was 1985 @ the NYC "Welcome Home" parade where I "bumped"
into the Khe Sanh Veterans. Great Parade, Intrepid Party, Music of the day,
Hugs, Tears & Comradery all around, but the BEST was yet to come! Back
inside the perimeter (Penta Hotel) @my first ever Hospitality Room, Rev Ray
spoke "and everyone listened" while a slide show was shown. It took another
10 years before we would meet in person and then start corresponding
through the mail til 2021. So happy to see him doing well.
AND Thank
you Dennis for what you do.

Fast approaching the end of this website

We Khe Sanh vets are an aging and ailing group; that can't be denied. Can
apply to spouses too. The same is a reality for this site -- Dave
Doehrman's creation was credited for finding many of us over the years.
With his passing the website ( not the Message Center ) took on a
different look because the family would not allow anyone to have some
control ( not ownership) in order to make changes and provide updates.
That's why on the opening page of khesanh.com you can still see a link --
frozen in time -- about the upcoming reunion in San Antonio 2016!
WTF?!? As of this coming Wednesday the 17th the website will no exist
because I am not going to pay the fee to Network Solutions anymore. A
few weeks ago, Bob Koury (and some others ) who was so instrumental in
getting all the issues of Red Clay digitalized asked me to reach out to
Dave's family one more time to see if we could add a link to the scans so
they could be made accessible to all of us. I texted, emailed and
called. No response. When I asked Network Solutions when the next
payment ( from me ) was due, the response was 17April. There is no need
for anyone to step into the breech. Keeping the site going won't change
a thing. Through Bob's initiative and generosity we already have a new
website and are finalizing the details. I doubt many of you will see
this post as most have drifted away or gone to Facebook, but you deserve a
chance to see it. The new site will have unlimited opportunity for those
of us who opt to use it. A few of us have already copied the 3
listings of the KS KIA's that Dave included as part of his Home Page.
They won't be lost and will be added to the new site. Along with lots
more.
I will post this again with some
modifications tomorrow. S/F Dennis (203) 535-9331
