Mission trip March 26-29 cancelled

The corona virus fear caused the Ensenada prison warden to not admit Americans into the cell blocks to serve the prisoners. So theEnsenada outreach has been cancelled.
More details to come.

Manos Con Alas Ministries 2019 Ministry report

Dear Ministry partners and volunteers,
Manos Con Alas Ministries (MCAM) had a rather active year in Baja California serving in missions from one end of the Baja Peninsula to the other.  Early in the year we were approached by a ministry that serves in missions worldwide in many countries.  "His Healing Hands” (HHH) wanted to partner with our group because of our deep connections in northern Baja, and the dental and chiropractic services we have been providing over the decades.  HHH (Directed by Carl Dawson) is a medical service group providing triage, blood pressure, diabetic screening, and medication treatment & education, eyeglasses, and other medical services.  We joined our teams and offered together 4 different health services.
We met with church leaders Pastor Jorge Moncada and wife Nohemi and their board of First Church of the Nazarene in Maneadero ( Ensenada [MB1] ) [MB2]  on January 18th, 2019 after flying into Ensenada airport to plan a week long outreach that eventually took place at two separate church locations about 10-15 miles apart. The main church, and its sister southern more "church plant” in a much poorer area.  Planning resulted in hundreds being served at these two locations, plus a day long outreach at the prison in Ensenada that following July.
Between April 5th to April 13th Dr Budincich and wife Claudia flew in mission operated aircraft to Cabo San Lucas airport to deliver eyeglasses, sunglasses, and chiropractic portable tables for mission work there that week. We served with other doctors of the Christian Chiropractic Association mission team led by Dr Brad Zisch, and two other doctors Jacob Carraotta, and one other DC.  We performed treatment on April 7th, 9th, 10th, and the 11th t three different location churches, two in very poor areas. Several hundred people were treated by the three chiropractors there, and the wives assisted in dispensing prescription eyewear and sunglasses to hundreds, partnering with Brian and Jackie Ruple.
July 6th in the Ensenada prison was a blessing to many prisoners, where 70 received chiropractic care in the cell blocks by Dr Bud, and Dr BIll Weissman performed dentistry on at least 13 prisoners with the equipment we purchased from Rotadent in 2018.  The two dental operatories we purchased new were thanks to donors among you who saw the vision to help those in need in Baja.  July 8-12 were the joint clinics with HHH mentioned above. There were 5 full days of dental care and eyeglasses, along with chiropractic from our MCAM team, coupled with medical and prescription meds and reading lenses provided by HHH.  The evangelistic team of HHH led many to new hope in the Lord.
On August 16-19 our mission aircraft and Dr Bud joined the Mission Flight team at their clinic outreach in San Quintin Baja to serve at two different sites.  One permanent church site clinic in San Quintin with Pastor Joel, and at a police station in Camalu (at the invitation of the mayor of the town who also received chiropractic).
In September on 9-19-19 to 9-22-19 our aircraft flew eye doctors and clinical staff to serve with ministry partners "Colorado Airlift Outreach” led by Rick Weaver of Montrose at the Hospital EL Buen Pastor, landing on the Los Pinos airstrip.  Los Pinos and its farm workers grow and pick much of the labor intensive produce we consume here in Southern California.  The workers earn about $9-10/day or about 200 pesos.  There were over 30 people on this combined eye surgical trip doing 31 eye surgeries.
Altogether five outreaches were offered in 2019 with our volunteer doctors and your financial support,
Thank you for helping us to serve so many with so little funding.  With a budget annually of about $10,000 in recent years, it has been a challenge to pay for needed supplies, insurance, storage in Baja for our permanent dental equipment and trucks that move our teams to and from airports, motels, and clinics. Our aircraft are in need of updated avionics to comply with FAA rules in 2020.  Dental and eyeglasses need to be purchased to give away.  All of our services are at NO CHARGE to those we serve.

Thank you and may you be greatly blessed in 2020 as you give and serve others.

San Quintin Eye Clinic report Sept 19

The Colorado Airlift Outreach mission team asked Manos Con Alas to assist in bringing Los Angeles based staff to the El Buen Pastor clinic and use of our mission 15 passenger van.  We have served with this organization about 20 or more years in different locations.  First in Vizcaino, and then at the La Esperanza Clinic in Nuevo Odisea in southern San Quintin Valley, and more recently at the El Buen Pastor hospital.
This clinic on Sept 19-22 weekend served a record number of eye surgery patients with a total of 41 in the two day clinic.  OVer 200 other patients received prescription eyewear by a large team of optometrists, lay opticians, and local translators.
We were happy to serve Rick Weaver the CALO president with our aircraft, vehicles and and energy.

July 5-13 Ensenada church and prison outreach

Our plans are now finalized for our trip south. Four dentists have volunteered to serve during the week of Sat July 5-Friday July 11 in Ensenada.
Four will be flying to Ensenada Friday the 5th of July. We check into La Quinta Bonita hotel and prepare for our Sat full day Ensenada Prison health clinic with dentistry and chiropractic. 25 men in the prison are signed up for care with Dr Bill Weissman serving with myself and assistants María Carvajal and Orsolina Garcia.  Most tools and equipment needs to be brought in and cleared through mexican prison guards. Pray that all equipment will pass through the security without issue. Sevy Chavez and Alma De Jesus will be our spiritual agents helping these men process their personal issues with God and man.
Our main team arrives Sat and Sun and on Monday the 8th we spend the first of five full days serving with Medicine, Dentistry, Chiropractic, and prescription eyewear for our hosting church, First Church of the Nazarine Maneadero. Pray that there with be no blockage or our ability to serve.
Most of our So Cal team returns Wed night to LA, and a few of us stay through Sat with Dr Mark DeLeon DDS and his assistants working Wed PM to Friday PM.
On Sat we all pack up for home.
Many thanks to Carl Dawson, leader of His Healing Hands of Templeton CA for his partnership and organization. Our combined teams number about 30 volunteer doctors and assistants.

Ensenada/Maneadero clinic update July

We have been busy getting ready for the new outreach planned in July 5th-13th, 2019   Our vehicles and Dental MDU are now staged and stored in a private lot south of the Ensenada airport just 10-15 minutes drive from the service site at First Church of the Nazarine in Maneadero BCN Mexico.  This new location is much better to serve our future needs and a good partnership for the future with the hosting church. Pastor Jorge and Nohemi are excited for us to come and serve the 5 days of July 8-12 at their main and sister church.
We have recently set up a PRISON outreach two days before at Ensenada Men’s prison.  This was organized by well known  evangelist Alma De Jesus of TJ,( and Chula Vista) who has created creat alliances with prison officials in Tecate, TJ, and Ensenada.

Go to our website to sign up for July trip at www.manosconalas.org or www.handswithwings.org
Our prison outreach will be fewer people with Dr Bill Weissman as the dentist, myself as chiropractor, and the His Healing Hands Eye team along with Alma, Tony, Sevy Chavez and others. The prison outreach team will fly in Ensenada July 5th and the bulk of our team will drive from LA Sunday the 8th of July.
Pray how you may become involved going, sending, or giving.
We now have a Pay Pal account for easy registration and gifting as you feel leg.

Hotel selection July 6-13 Ensenada

 Dear Doctors and mission team

I just reserved a block of 7 double rooms to accommodate up to 14 people for our Maneadero Baja outreach at the Estero Beach Resort Hotel. The website is the URL below.

This is where I celebrated my birthday last year on an Ensenada mission trip. A beachfront Resort on an estuary just south of Ensenada Airport. It has a nice restaurant and is a gate guarded resort. The cost per room is $134.00/night or $67/pp double occupancy. They have a beach boardwalk and waterfront access.

If you wish "bare bones” (least expensive) accommodations we have a block of rooms reserved by His Healing Hands at the (formerly) El Joker Motel across from the Ensenada Airport  which has basic clean (motel 6 ) level rooms for about $30/night or $15/pp double occupancy.

I need to tell the hotel manager by  June 1 how many rooms we need. I will drop the rooms we don’t need at the Resort by that date. So please let me know the level of room you wish for your budget and comfort. Please email Claudia Badano for questions or to reserve for the trip. [email protected]
This will be for many a drive down trip which also lowers the fee. Those wishing to get a ride may contact Claudia or Jack hardy of His Healing Hands.

Check out the website below for the nice place.
