- Can I have the "Home" button on my board point back to my home page?

Yes. On your Management Page there is a 'HomePage URL' field where you can specify the address your home button should point to.
- Can I Create a direct link from my HomePage to my board?
Top
Yes, when your Board is set up, you'll receive
a URL address that allows you to link directly to your Board. This
address allows you to create a link/button, on your home page, that takes
a visitor directly to your board without knowing your board
code.
- How do I manage my board?

When your board is set up you're given access to a personal "board management panel".

- Chat Room - Does your board offer a Chat Room feature?

Yes, an Integrated Chat Room can be added by simply clicking a radio button in your Board Management page.
The Chat Room option does have an additional $4.95 monthly fee associated with it, because of additional resources
required.
- Visitor Counters - Can I track/count the number of visitors to my board?

Yes, when your Board is set up, you're given access to a management site
that will allow you to monitor number of visits to your board. This site also gives you the capability to change other configuration parameters such as categories, company name, etc.
- Can I password protect my board?
Top
Yes, when your Board is set up, you're given access to your board management site
which allows you to specify system and user passwords/privileges.
In addition to a "Members Only" password for system wide Board access,
you can assign individual login passwords to your users and specify level
of access (view/post/modify/delete/vote) for each user. You can also protect certain
sections/forums on your board by designating specific forums/sections to be viewable
only by designated users.
If you set up a "Moderated" board you can
designate one or more moderators and even specify what sections of your board they have "Moderator"
privilege over.
You as the board manager, control the assigment of passwords and board privileges through your

Each user, when posting a message can create
unique passwords for messages they post, ensuring only they can modify/delete their own
messages, although remember, you as the Board Manager can delete/modify anyone's message.
- Are there any restrictions on how I can use my board?

Yes, Although the content and use of your board is entirely
your responsibility, we do enforce a policy of prohibiting
Adult-oriented boards displaying pornographic material.
Our current policy prohibits Adult-oriented boards,
designed for entertainment or commercial purposes.
Restricted boards include those providing access to
pornographic materials (images or multimedia),
whether for free or for payment, regardless of whether
adult verification is used or not.
- Will there be any advertising placed on my board?

No, there is no advertising placed on your board.
Although you can place your own advertising on your
board, we do not place advertising of any kind on your
board. All boards are private, and the only visitors to
your board will be those whom you make aware of your

- Can I attach files/photos/jpeg/gifs to my message?

Yes.
Your board's File Attachment option allows users to attach any kind of file to a message.
Your board will automatically create a thumbnail of any attached graphic files and embed them
within a user's message.The File Attachment option allows users to upload files directly from their
pc. Without using this option a user can cause a graphic to appear within a message, if the graphic
already exists somewheres on the net, simply by referencing the website address of the graphic within
the message. To attach a file/photo, a user clicks a checkbox at the bottom of the form used
to post a message. The checkbox is labeled: "Click here to attach a photo/file".
- Can I search all or a subset of messages for a specific keyword?

Yes. Click on the "Search" button at the top of your board and
you'll be prompted to enter a keyword to search on.
- How can I create special formatting effects, like underlining, bold words,
color, line breaks, etc. when typing a message? Top
Every message you enter will be formatted automatically. However,
if you want to add additional formatting features, such as "Bolding",
"Underlining", manual line breaks, and Color, with your message text as well as inserting URL links,
you can use the full set of HTML formatting codes to accomplish this or simply use
the Message Formatting Toolbar:

- How long can a message be? Top
Up to 10 pages of text
- Can I have a custom logo or banner inserted at the top of my
board? Top
Yes. We'll create one custon logo for you free, automatically, but if
you don't like the one we create or have one of your own, send it to us and we'll
insert it at the top of your board free or if it resides elsewhere on the net go to
your management page and specify its location in the field labeled "banner logo".
You also have the ability to add an introductory paragraph/text at the beginning/top of your board.
- Can I archive messages on my board?
Top
Yes, you have detailed archiving capability.
You can archive messages by date and/or category/date.
Users also have the ability to search/filter archived
messages based on a number of criteria including keywords and date ranges.
The board manager also has the ability to configure the board to automatically
archive older messages. In the event no archiving specification is given, a
board will automatically begin archiving older messages after 250 active messages
have been placed on the board.
When your board is set up you're given the address of
your management site, where you can do, among other things,
archive messages on your board. To give you an idea of the
user interface you'll use to archive messages, following is a
link to a sample board's "Archive" page.

To view Archived Messages, use the "Search" button on your board.
- Am I able to approve/disapprove messages before they are posted?

Yes, If you are the Board Manager you have full control of all messages posted on
your board. You have the ability to modify and/or delete any message appearing on
your board. You also have the ability to set your board up as a "Moderated" board. meaning all
messages will have to be approved by you before they will be viewable by the public.
- Can anyone post messages to my Board?

You. as the board manager, are able to control who can view/post/modify/delete messages on your board.
Using your board management site, you can specify view/post/modify/delete privileges at the
entire board level, the category level(i.e. subsections of your board), and/or at the user level.
You also have the ability to
set your board up as a 'Moderated' board, meaning even though you allow users to post messages, you must approve
them before they will appear on your board.
- How do I create a "Votable" message? Top
Designating your message as a "Votable Message" will
cause your board to display your message in a format
allowing users to Vote "Yes" or "No" on the issue
described in the message.
Only designate your message as a "Votable" message,
if the message is of a type you want users to
vote Yes or No on.
When you create a message there are two check boxes
near the bottom of the Post Message form, that allow
you to designate your message as a "Votable Message.
To make your message "Votable" Click either of the two checkboxes labeled:
"Click Here to make this a Votable Message (with voter registration required)"
This checkbox ensures users must identify themselves to vote.
or
"Click Here to make this a Votable Message (no voter registration required)"
This checkbox allows users to vote on the message anonymously.
It's easy, give it a try. You can always delete the message when your through.

- Can I view a list of people and how they voted on an issue?

Yes, for Votable messages requiring voter registration,
Click on the "View Detailed Results" button that will be displayed with the voting results.
- Is my vote anonymous? Top
Depends. If your voting on a message that has been set up as an "Anonymous Votable Message",
then the answer is "Yes". If the message your voting on requires voter registration, then
anyone viewing your Board has the ability to view detailed voting results on
the issue/message you voted on. When they do this they will see a list of everyone who
voted on the issue with their associated name. Your vote is only anonymous to the extent
someone is able to associate you with the name you gave when you registered to vote.
In other words, if you give a bogus name then no one will be able to associate you
with your vote.
- Can I restrict the list of people who are allowed to vote on issues?

Yes, as a Board Manager, you can set your board up so only you can register
voters. This will allow you to control who can vote on your board. The default is, to allow anyone
visiting your board to vote on messages set up as "Votable Messages".
- How often are the vote totals updated?
Top
The vote totals are updated immediately. As soon as you record your
vote, the vote totals will have been updated. To see that your vote has actually
affected the vote totals, press the "Reload/Refresh" button on your browser. You can also
see that your vote has been recorded by clicking on the 'View Detailed Results' link
underneath the 'votable' message you are viewing.
- How do I change Forum names or my password?

- Board Limitations?
Top
Although there is no limit on the number of messages that can be posted,
board managers should realize there is a different fee schedule for High Bandwidth boards.
It is unlikely your board will be classified as a High Bandwidth board. Less than 1%
of our existing boards are High Bandwidth boards. A board must receive over 500 unique
visitors per day, for 5 consecutive days, to be classified as a High Bandwidth board.
Boards averaging over 500 unique visitors per day can not be supported on the $9.95 per
month pricing plan. Boards receiving this type of traffic should contact
[email protected] to upgrade their account. A detailed description

- Can I delete more than one message at a time? Top
Yes, as the board manager you can always delete groups of messages, by category,
by date range, or selectively from a list. You can also configure your Board
to automatically Delete old messages. These functions are available via
your board management page.
- Can I set my board up as a "Threaded" board? Top
Yes, You can change the configuration(Threaded/Semi-Threaded/Non-Threaded) with the click
of a button, via your Board Management panel. Do this as often as you like, anytime you want.
You can even give your users the option to select their own personal display configuration.
