Florida Institute of Technology Botanical Gardens is always a pretty location any time of year for photos. The summertime is almost always steamy and humid even in late afternoon but it is so pretty there, it's hard to resist! Luckily, we knew exactly where we wanted to shoot the photos, so we got the job done in no time! I love this couple. They are so easy and laid back and don't stress the little things. Their wedding later this year will be beautiful.

July is a fun month for families on vacation at the beach. It's easy to forget that I live in paradise after so many years. I try to imagine what it is like to see for the first time,  the endless blue sea, frothy waves rolling in, soft green sea oats all connected with the warm sand under our toes. Not to mention the tropical breezes and wonderful salty air that seems to slow down the clock and focus on what really matters.

Sometimes, it can take a few minutes for people to acclimate to beach life because when asking to sit for a portrait, I hear "but we're going to get sandy." My reply? "Yes! You are!" And then the real fun begins.........and that's exactly what I want to capture. 

Kids tend not to see the playful side of their parents day to day because they are so focused on growing them up with a solid foundation, but at the beach, they are all kids! Love that side of family life.

We ended a few minutes before the storm which left us with dramatic skies! And.....I just had to capture these girls in the distance doing their own selfies & photo shoot. Dresses were gorgeous!
