June & July are busy months for folks visiting the Space Coast. I recently met up with this family & they went home with some special photos to remember this time together with their family!

And whether you are young in age or young at heart, the beach always makes our spirit feel free!

Summer weddings can be hot but when the bridal party is this much fun, it makes being out in the heat totally worth it! Before  heading over to the Radisson Oceanfront for the ceremony, we spent some "getting ready" time at the groom's parents home. 

Then it was on to the Radisson to have a little fun with the guys!

I haven't photographed at the Radisson in a while & it brought back lost reminders of how much I love that venue. The staff is amazing and they have an incredible new chef!

Met up with this beautiful family at Camp Holly for a few engagement and family photos. It was windy, hence no mosquitoes. Thinking that could be problematic at this location since it's right by the water. But we were lucky. Oh, if you venture out there for a family photo shoot, be careful not to let the little ones slide an embankment. Alligators are lurking all around the water. 

These kids are super adorable and were very co operative for the photo session since they were expecting a frozen yogurt reward at the end. Bribes really do work. Mom did a super job of pulling together clothing for all. The color scheme flowed beautifully. This part of a photo session really does matter. The blues and whites were perfect with the competing nature scape.

 

The relationships among this group is so inspirational. Creating bonds require time and effort. Reminds me to work harder with the ones I love.

 

 

Such pretty girls! And the lighting was perfect for accenting their hair. I adore backlighting. Adds magic to photos.

He knew exactly how I wanted him to sit. He has future model potential. Love that face.

 

This Mom sets the benchmark pretty high. She competes in bodybuilding competitions. So you best believe her kids eat healthy!

Meeting up with this Michigan family vacationing in Florida was definitely fun. I like just to stand back and watch them explore the magic of the beach and then simply capture them from that perspective.

 

 

Awesome kids! 3 brothers + 1 sister? Who do you think rules the roost?!

 

The colors Mom chose were perfect for the beach. I love how she made the color scheme connect without being too matchy. ("Matchy" is not really a word but it should be.)

 

 

Mom had her heart set on some photos with her pretty umbrella so we played with that for a while!

 

 

 

And I always try to throw in a few non-beach photos because I want people to know there is much more to Florida than just the beach. We have some beautiful nature areas to explore! And that makes for great photo ops!

Nothing like flying in from Pittsburg for a surprise proposal in advance of a week-long cruise to sweep a girl off her feet.  Throw in 20+ mph winds off the ocean and stormy seas! Made for a dramatic, beautiful and memorable day. 

 

  

 

Many of my newborn clients are not new to me. I photographed this big brother as a newborn and his Mama was one of my brides. I love having that connection that runs thru like a thread woven into fabric. These two have awesome parents and grandparents that I truly admire. Close family bonds simply make for the richest of life experiences. These kids will have the love and support they need at every juncture in life, so their possibilities are endless.

 

 

 

 

 

There's something about taking a newborn outside that guarantees sleep! Indoors, this little girl didn't want to miss a thing!

It's getting to be spring and so far, it's looking beautiful! Great time for engagement photos. There's alway a perfect location beachside and you never know who's going to show up for the photoshoot. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Loved this location because at the end of the photoshoot, you can sit and watch the shrimp boats heading out late in the evening or you can watch these big guys passing by!

Being a girl from a small town in southern Georgia that never ventured much beyond those borders growing up, I am always excited to learn about the customs of different countries. (Southern people are awesome and I love all our traditions as well!)  Recently I photographed an Indian baby shower, which they call " Godh bharai".  It is a beautiful event where they bless the unborn baby and shower "the mum-to-be" with blessings and gifts. It is truly an amazing bonding experiencing both spiritually and among the women of the family. Of course, the clothing is bold, beautiful and gorgeous. The meticulous work that goes into the dresses is beyond description and I can imagine the hours required to create the designs.
