While most people were celebrating the 4th of July with cookouts & fireworks, I was shooting this beautiful wedding. It was a backyard wedding.........gorgeous, simple & relaxed. A wonderful change from the hustle & hectics of the large hotel venues. I love those too, but for this couple, it fit perfectly for their style & personalities. Because we were not confined to timelines, we had time to be creative with some of our photos. Definitely an advantage! 

I am in love with the unique necklace. The stone was given to her by the groom's mother & crafted into a necklace. It was the most beautiful jewelry I've ever seen. So creative & special. 

The wedding took place in her uncle's yard. The landscaping is gorgeous & we've had ample amounts of rain, making the colors so vivid & pretty.

I couldn't end this post without including a photo of the most creative & whimsical wedding cake I've ever seen. So perfect for a backyard wedding. I asked the bride why she chose this theme and she indicated it represented time.......time to get married and time to be together forever. Love it!
