If you're a Mama reading this, you don't need me to explain why Chris' Mom wanted some special photos of her "about to leave the nest" & off to college son. Of course there's already the "at school senior photo" that's required to go into the yearbook...........and for Chris, there's also some glossy-perfect studio shots for his LaCrosse team. So when we set out to photograph Chris, our goal was to capture some around the neighborhood, real life-everyday photos for Mom & Dad, in addition to documenting just how handsome & cool this guy is right now. Who knows? His future kids may debate that in the years to come, so I wanted to make sure proof is at hand!
Chris & his parents are my neighbors. I have watched him grow into an awesome young man. He was super cute as a little guy too.....I remember his curly locks & sweet nature.......& today, he's so mellow, kind, super smart with high ambitions. How many seniors have a definitive career plan? Well, Chris does. Goal is an engineering + law degree & speciality in patent law. When I was that age, I sure didn't have a clear direction. Come to think about, even today I'm not sure what I want to do when I grow up!!
Ok, I forgot to add he's into skateboarding too.........Ha! Ha! Bet you thought I was going to say "He's super handsome"! No need to, you already thought it!
Ok, so I asked to Chris to give me his best GQ pose........and then I told him how much he looks like his Dad. He informed me in no uncertain terms, that his Dad would be the other kind of "Senior"! See, not cutting the parents any slack!
Best friend & the only other child in the family! Just don't watch the movie "My Dog Skip" unless you feel like crying. Sorry, but this picture makes the think of that + Kevin Bacon.........
We were given a gorgeous rainbow at the end of our session so I'm going to call that a good luck symbol for Chris as he embarks on this very new and fun journey in life! I will be cheering on the sidelines wishing the best of everything for you! And don't hold me to it, but I'm going to try really hard to invent something new.......just so you can be my "patent lawyer"!
